About Circle "C" Stable

Circle “C” Stable is located on the outskirts of a fruit orchard in a country setting. We have both indoor (heated) and outdoor arenas for our riding lessons and training. In addition, Circle “C” has a classroom space with a handicap-accessible bathroom and a kitchenette. We have 29 acres, there are wooded hiking paths, riding trails, raised bed gardens, outdoor picnic facilities, and a fire pit.

Our Services

We are a dynamic training center offering experiential learning with horses.

We create safe spaces for horses to help people of all ages.

Meet The Team

Our team is committed to creating a supportive and enriching environment for individuals through equine assisted activities. We strive to promote emotional well-being, personal development, and learning through interactions with horses.

Cindy Nimtz

Cindy graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Western Michigan University. She is certified in K-5th and in Physical Education K-12th. She is a certified Equine Specialist with decades of experience as a professional horse woman.

 

She has owned Circle “C” Stable since 2001. Over the years, she expanded the stable services, of boarding and training, to include unique education and training facility that offers horse camps, equine assisted educational opportunities for homeschoolers, corporate trainings, customized individual and group programs designed for personal and professional growth. Cindy is a proud partner in the Berrien Springs Youth Partnership.

Shelly Adkins

Shelly graduated from Mary Washington University in Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. She is also certified in Elementary Education and has taught First Grade, Fifth Grade, Preschool and has led Socratic Seminars/Literary Circles in 9th Grade English Classes. She has served on a Montessori School Board and has helped Home School Families evaluate and asses their programs in the State of Virginia.

 

Upon moving to Michigan 6 years ago, Shelly met Cindy and began exploring Equine Assisted Learning Classes at Circle “C”. Shelly has since been certified as a Horse Powered Reading Instructor and has joined the Berrien Springs Partnership Program as a teacher.

Hannah Johnson

Hannah grew up in Michigan, showing horses and trail ridding with her friends. She has always had a passion for equine and showing others how rewarding a relationship with them can be.

 

After graduating from Central Michigan University, Hannah moved out west and began her journey in the ranching world. She began in Colorado working as a wrangler, guiding trail rides, training, etc. She also ventured into cattle ranching. Working in places like Montana and Nebraska. During her time in Washington State, she managed a donkey sanctuary. She has worked in animal husbandry to machine operation, to teaching others about horses. 

At Circle “C” Stable, Hannah assists Cindy in daily operations, lessons, programs, and maintenance.
